Jay wanted to dine at Isabella's but we were craving for curry. So, we changed plans and went to Sumittra instead.
Love this simple fresh arrangement of lilies and hydrangeas.
There's a peep-thru divider in the middle of the room...
...and its diffused lighting gives the interior a cozy atmosphere.
Thai Iced Tea ($3)
Appetizers:
Garden Roll.
Jason: Is that *Mang Tomas? (referring to the sauce. *It is a Filipino sauce specifically for lechon or roasted pig.)
It did look like Mang Tomas lechon sauce, but it's actually peanut hoisin sauce.
Rice paper wrapped shrimp, vegetable, mango and rice noodles served with peanut hoisin sauce. $7.50
Vegetable Pad Thai
Stir fried thin rice noodles in homemade sauce with peanut, scallion, egg and mixed vegetables. $13
Kow Pad Poo
Crab meat fried rice. $18
Gang Mussaman
Beef simmer in musaman curry with onion, potato and peanut. *hot
Pad Woon Sen
Chicken, stir fried glass noodles with mixed vegetables and egg. $13
The red long thin strips on the side is beets which the kids and I enjoyed eating too.
The place was not as packed compared to the last time we were here. We loved everything we ordered however I found the Vegetable Pad Thai a bit sweet. There menu booklet was falling apart. It's time to have their booklet reprinted with better long lasting material.
We were so full after dinner that we decided to stroll in downtown till thirty minutes past 8pm.
Yey! We have a lady trisikad MacFawn's Green Rides driver.
It's always lovely when you spend a very special day with family.
