I Asked Myself

In my published blog posts that I share links in my Facebook wall, I sometimes get many likes and hearts. In these instances, I would really ask myself, "I wonder if these people really click the link and read my post?!"

I am  only sure of 4 people in my 962 Facebook contacts who never fail to read my posts, may it be with sense or nonsensical. Hehehe.

On New Year's eve, a friend who came to visit Maryland (Her family moved across the country close to a decade ago.) told me that she reads my blog. I really knew that she reads most because she told me about old posts that I published as far as more than 2 years ago.

About 3 weeks ago, I got a message from a classmate back in the islands. I was so happy to learn that she moved to New York with her whole family. We have been friends on Facebook but never really exchange conversations until she left me a message. She said she has been reading my blog faithfully. She even read those posts that are lengthy, and no attached photos. I mean, she really reads everything.

I have 2 silent readers in my blog that I know. Yey!

I am thrilled. Honestly, I used to not care if people come and stay to read here. Now, I do, and hoping that I am being read because you love me, you love how I write and lay out my stories, and most of all, you're interested to follow my journey.

There are also three contacts that I'm completely sure who don't read them. They leave comments based on what they see on the preview photo, the title, or about the caption. I don't create click-bait kind of titles or captions. This is because I do not need to. I do not make money from this blog. This is my online journal where I write my thoughts, document my experiences and my adventures, and see my growth in my photography and literary skills (I hope I have achieved this---a better writing style.)

This morning, I got a comment on a link from a blog post I published yesterday. It was about the Mongo with Malunggay. Someone asked where it was available when I already stated the name of the store on the second sentence of that post.

Nah! I don't think she reads my post, and just overlooked and missed the name of the store on the first paragraph. I don't even think she clicked the link. Hehehehe.

Do I need to reply to her comment?

Hmmm! No! I don't think that's necessary. The answer is already there. They're the same kind of people who would ask for the exact date for 4th of July or the day for Ash Wednesday!

Until next post. I hope you're reading this because you love it here.

I heart you for stopping by.

Something strange happened to my comments. They just vanished into thin air before I could finish......

Hello Lili. I am very well and fine over here. I have been busy in the office since my assistant resigned 2 months ago and I am still rushing to finish over 1000 pages of power point for my boss! In between I went back to my beautiful hometown Penang to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year for a week. I still read blogs here and there.
