I got a message via Messenger yesterday that the young lady got accepted for an internship that she applied for in late October. She was suppose to go through three more interviews for the job but surprisingly she got an email late last week from one of the supervisors asking if she was still interested for the internship. Last Monday was when she got accepted officially.
She's going to be an intern in one of America's largest global media and entertainment company, and among over 15,000 applicants, she got in!
She's going to be a graphic design intern. This is really her opportunity of a lifetime. What also surprised the mister and me was that she didn't study graphic design. She just loves anything related to art. She's self taught.
As a young adult, she's well travelled. She is a full time college student finishing a double major, with a job and an internship, and starting in January, she will be learning from one of the best company in America.
"Ma, I can't really believe it! ... and this means that you and Papa are great parents."
I have been a full time stay-at-home mother, and it's a choice I made with the mister. I have no regrets that I do not have a career in the corporate world. Now that both of my human cubs are young adults, I spend full time in my online shop.
Then she added excitedly...
"Ma, this success is your return of investment!"
And then, I did a silent ugly cry.
