Me: Ganahan ka ana? (You like that?)
Yna: O lagi! (Yes, I do!)
She expressed an interest to keep this pair of sunglasses last week, but didn't really think she was sure about it since this isn't her usual style.
Me: Okay. Imo na na! Go grab it before I'll change my mind. (You can have it.)
Then she did, and ran away with it. She wore it again and showed it to her father who was lounging and watching TV in the living room.
Yna: Pa, look! I look like a sheriff!

Such a lucky kid. My mother had clothing and footwear shops at the public market in the island back in the 80s. We didn't get clothes and other stuff unless we really really need them. Most of the time, I only got hand me downs from my older sister. But those were the days.
