The View

We were checked in to a suite facing another building. Not much of a choice for views here, as the resort was situated in between buildings.

I don't mind people watching, though.

The next building is, I think, renovating, and I was wondering if that guy got a lot from his dumpster diving.

We also checked their rooftop. There was a vending machine and some outdoor seating too.

I loved those pair of big blue feet planters on their rooftop.

I really wanted them, but I found out that they were so mahal. *sigh.

Room 206

"There'll be a chair hanging from the ceiling in our suite." Jay told me casually after he booked our suite.

I really thought he was kidding, but apparently not.

Both rooms have queen beds, but I chose this room (photo below) because I think the lamps are cute.

There's also a super tall and skinny sculpture by the door.

The lamps were all of of kind and thankfully they're not the funeral-home-looking floor lamps.

And oh, I really want the ultra-big wall mirror that looked like a hand-held one.

This is Room 206 of Bluegreen Club La Pension in New Orleans.

Landed in NOLA

We landed in Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Aiport (MSY) a few minutes past 4 o'clock in the afternoon on September 19.

We waited for Yna and Larry by the stage where a musician was getting ready to perform, near door exit 9.

They arrived about 20 minutes after us from their flight in New York.

Larry requested an Uber ride to the resort where we are staying in for the week. It was a black Honda Pilot with a cracked windshield.

The ride was about 30 minutes from the airport.

We booked a 2-bedroom suites for a whole week at Bluegreen Club La Pension which is located at the historic French Quarters.

The lobby was that one-of-a kind eclectic feast to the eyes--- the old candelabra floor lamps that reminded me of funeral lamps in the Philippines, the big pearl on an oyster shell table-top décor, the colors, the hanging love seat, the sofa, and more.
