A Cat in a Cast

I spent most of my morning at the vet today. Let me tell you about it.

Our three cats would always meet the mister at the door when he comes home from work in the evening, and last night, he noticed Rigby limping. There was something wrong with his left hind leg.

The mister checked if it was just a splinter in between his paws. I tried to look for wounds on his leg. There were none.

Good thing though because he was eating alright. Or else we would be more worried.

By morning, the cats were waiting outside our bedroom door except for Rigby. When I came down, he was still lying in the bed we left him in the previous night.

Oh no!

Around the time the mister was preparing our morning latte, I called our vet's office to set for a sick appointment. Thankfully, there was a spot an hour from the time I called.



As soon as he was seen, the doctor immediately said that his left hind leg was swollen.

Double oh no!

The X-ray results?

His joint was misaligned.



Triple oh no! I hope he wouldn't need surgery. For sure, that would cost a limb, and probably add a torso to that.

The vet will forward all of his X-ray results to the orthopedic surgeon as soon as possible. I was told. So, we went home with Rigby in a cast.



The moment we came in the house, we were met by his 2 brothers, and then he dragged himself out from his carrier, and about 4 to to 5 steps out from it...

((( THE HORROR! THE CAST CAME OFF! )))



Hahahaha! What a day!

So, I called the vet again, and told them that, "We just got home, but expect us again in your office. We're on our way. The cast came off!"

Oh, Rigby!

I bet he just didn't like the hot pink cast. Now, he's back home resting with a tighter green cast lounging by his favorite spot in the house.



When the mister came home from work today, he helped Rigby during his dinner.



When we came home at noon today from the vet, he really had a hard time walking. Now, he's a pro already. He's still limping but he's doing it like a pirate with one leg--- like Long John Silver.

Oh! By the way, the vet called the mister that there'll be no surgery needed. Thank God!
