Remember this bear?
Jason asked his Papa if he can have one for his birthday. That's in five more months and by that time, the bear is long gone from Costco's selling area knowing that this item is most probably a seasonal one.
...and the days after that Sunday in Costco, he constantly talked about the "bear". He was very hopeful he'd get it on his birthday.
Oh! The poor boy!
So, on Thursday, August 4, Jason and the big sister came up with an idea. They'd gather all the money they have.
They had a total of $7.87 and that includes Sammy's very generous donation of a quarter.
When their Papa arrived from work, they told him about their proposal.

They asked him if they can loan the money for the bear and that they'd pay him slowly until it'll be fully paid including tax.
Jay was silent to keep the suspense but eventually he said yes.
Of course, with any business transaction, there should be a written agreement.

So last Sunday, we went back to Costco. It took awhile for the kids to find the perfect bear. They had to check if there's no soft fur bald spots, no dirt and stains and all seams were tightly sealed.
Our friend said the bear is expensive. I said it is equivalent to two to three 10" plush teddies at Toys R Us.
There's no turning back for it was paid already. By the way, the lighter colored bear were all gone. Just sharing.

The bear is home. He was born in China. Jason wanted to name him Ted. I suggested Juan Ted. Hehehehe.
Jay said Bear in the Big Blue House. Our house is blue and not big but the bear is. Yna suggested Justin like Justin B. Bear. The name Doctor C (for Comfort) and Architect Hugs came up but they all said, "Nah!"
