Monday, January 7 at 1:07 am

I had to finish work in the 'warehouse' (aka our basement). The cats and the mister were asleep in our room already when I went up.

They're not usually allowed to sleep in our room except on weekends only, but that night was an exception.

Rigby (bottom), Mordecai, Bowie, and the mister

I quietly washed, brushed my teeth, and changed into my ultra soft leopard print pyjamas. Rigby, one of our cats was waiting by the door when I got out. I though he was sleeping already together with the other cats and the mister.

He (Rigby) waited until I climbed up our bed. Then he followed.

He lied down on my thigh, and then he checked on me if my eyes were closed.

I pretended to sleep.

Then I felt him falling asleep also.

I don't know why but I really think I am his favorite.

A Rigby Update

Related post: A Cat in a Cast

Rigby was scheduled for a follow-up check-up yesterday afternoon. It took me over 30 minutes to get him in his carrier. I tried all the tricks I could think of. None of it worked, but it did for his 2 brothers, Bowie and Mordecai. Everyone wanted to get in except him. I had to carry him in the car and called for help to all the saints. I think he knew that I was desperate because when he was inside the car ,he barely resisted, or maybe he just gave up. He knew that there was no other way, but go.
We were a few minutes late with our appointment. Although we live near the vet's office, thankfully, they understood why we came in late.

He had another x-ray on his left hind leg. It's healing, according to his doctor. Cartilage is slowly growing in his injured joint, and it's expected that after another 4 weeks, he'll be healed. *crossing our fingers.

After our appointment, I didn't need any tricks or even the help of the doctor for him to get in his carrier. He just walked in.

Hahahaha. He was so confident it was over. It was time to go home.

He is on his cast again--- not in green, but in blue with a heart. It's so Commes de Garcons PLAY.

He is wearing his heart on his sleeve cast.

Caturday

Most of my Saturday was spent at home with the cats. This will be really a constant thing when the boy goes to college.

The mister went biking in the mountain at the state park near our house. The boy was sleeping most of the morning. I guess he stayed up again all night doing some art work or maybe animation.

Rigby, our cat in a cast, is doing pretty okay. He's back to his playful self now. He's able to find comfortable positions when he is loafing, getting up and down the stairs or on his cat tree by the window, eating, or doing his business in the litter box. He still visits me and keeps my feet warm while I work in our dining room.

He'll be seen again by his vet in a week.

Bowie. If he could only talk, I think he'll be the most chatty among the three.

These cats are like my children, or the mister and I. They get along 99% of the time.

Mordecai

And also, last Saturday, Yna drew Rigby.
