Market Street was kind of deserted this year compared to the previous years. Well, I guess, it's probably due to the rain, and a thunderstom forcasted at 4 pm. The rained stopped around 2 pm and thank God, the thunderstom cancelled his attendance in the festival.

We always planned of dining at Volt Restaurant, by Chef Bryan Voltaggio. If you don't watch cooking shows, he's from the show Top Chef. He lost the title to his younger brother, Chef Michael Voltaggio. In their food stall, we tried Pork Tostada (salsa verda, cortija cheese . $4). I love this. The pulled pork wasn't as vinegary. It was right and every bite was perfect.

And this Lobster Corndog, $8. It's small and mahal (expensive) for a close to bite-size corndog, but honestly, it was really good!

Some of our friends craved for funnel cakes, and smoked turkey legs.

Beause we started our food fest at the other end of Market Street that when we reached Firestone's Culinary Tavern, we were full already. Kim Firestone, the owner of the restaurant was there.
He's the grandson of Harvey Firestone, the founder of Firestone Tire and Rubber Company.

Carrol Creek was getting more beautiful with the variety of blooms and foliage from the water lilies. We stayed there for awhile and listened to a band who covered 1980s dance hits.

At past 5 pm, we capped the festival with wine, saki, and tempura at Hinode, a Japanese restaurant along the creek.

We celebrated the festival last year with the same company too. I guess this is going to be an annual thing.
