Ray Woke Me Up

I woke up with the worst leg muscle cramp this morning. I was limping in going down the stairs, and walking around the kitchen preparing breakfasts and packing lunches for the boys. I took it easy when they left the house for the day. I had breakfast, and lounge a little in the living room while checking and answering my emails.

I had so many things to do today, and I really hope that the pain would just go away. I planned of riding my bike on my lunch break, and probabyly, take a walk before I'll start dinner this afternoon. I had my coffee already, but I feel so tired and sleepy. I was reading some articles online and dozed off a few times, and it's still nine in the morning! What the heck! This isn't a good start at all on a Friday.

I dragged myself down in the basement and hoping I can accomplish more than I planned. While prepping some items to be photographed for my shop, I tuned in to YouTube. I chose a rock and roll video hoping it'd make me feel awake and alive. Then, after a few autoplayed videos, this video (below) played on!

Oh my goodness! His song is funny! He did perked my spirit up! I grabbed my laptop, went upstairs, and settled in the dining room, and watched him play again!
Who is this old man with a striking resemblance to that famous physicist, Albert Einstein?
It would be really wonderful to see him sing in person. I hope he has a tour, and would stop by, maybe, in Washington D.C., Virginia or Maryland!

Sadly, I've learned, he passed away just recently, on July 17, 2015. His original song performed for America's Got Talent became controversial because of how he mocked transgender women. But still, I think he's exrtraordinary and funny. Even his tweets were funny too.

Raymond Jessel had an extensive TV credits as a writer for The Love Boat, Head of Class, The Carol Burnett Show, The Jacksons, The Bob Newhart Show and more. He reinvented himself from a writer to a cabaret singer, and began his musical career at the young age of 72. Almost all of his songs have the same intro but you really have to pay attention to its every line.

Here are more songs from Ray Jessel!

Listen to his cynical and funny tribute to Shirley Temple, Life Sucks and Then You Die!

RIP Raymond Jessel
You were always a Ray of sunshine!
